Job Description

Joining the Plymouth offices of this leading chartered accountancy practice you will join as a Training / Learning and Development Manager taking a leading role on the learning and development of the firms trainees, supporting them on their journey to become qualified accountancy professionals. You will liaise with service groups and heads of departments identifying training needs across the firm and implement effective training strategy and programmes to support the firms trainees. Alongside this you will manage and advise on training providers, liaising with differing providers and working with the right providers. You will work closely with key people within the firm L&D department and carve a career within this successful firm.

The Successful Applicant

You will be qualified in any of ACA/ACCA/CTA etc with an initial earlier career background developed within technical accountancy within an accountancy practice firm environment. Ideally you will have subsequently moved into a training / learning and development focused role, or you may still be focused within a technical client focused delivery role, but have demonstrable experience of developing and training juniors/part qualified staff and bring a clear interest in moving into the learning and development field. You will be able to clearly demonstrate a passion for training and developing others and for those already bringing existing L&D experience, you will have demonstrable experience of influencing strategy on this side, through implementing training programmes etc. You will be seeking a challenging new career opportunity with opportunity to lead on a firms training strategy and implementation, within a growth focused firm offering career progression and long term potential.
