They are seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to join our their transport planning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing the transportation of goods in an efficient and cost-effective manner within a busy distribution operation.

Job Description

The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities are:

  • Develop effective transport schedules and routes for deliveries
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations
  • Monitor transport costs and efficiency
  • Respond to any issues or complaints
  • Manage logistics of transport resources
  • Implement health and safety procedures
  • Maintain records of transport activities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport Planner should have:

  • experience in transport planning within a busy distribution operation
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in logistics software
