The company are based within the Logistics Distribution and Supply chain sector.Job DescriptionThe Key Responsibilities for the Transport planner will be;Managing the Carrier drivers and capacity planning and keeping an eye on drivers on their routes. Keeping in communication with the customer and drivers with delays, breakdowns and any issues.Allocating jobs to Carriers and building relationshipsIdentifying potential issues and creating RFQ'S for others carriers if suppliers are unable to deliverUpdating spreadsheets and communicating with management on performanceLiaising and understands infringements and can deal with effectivelyUnderstanding driver's hours and legal driving time, working time and breaks.Informing Carriers of vehicle allocations and any changes in their job allocation or route.Ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams, and executing operational tasks as needed.Manage customer expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience.The Successful ApplicantThe Transport planner will have had exposure to the following;Worked within a Similar Transport Operation or FreightLogistics experience within a Transport Operations or Carrier managementYou must be self-motivated and have the ability to hit and exceed targets.Excellent communication skills.You must also have good customer services skills to deal day-to-day with all enquiries and cultivate relationships with customer and drivers align with Operations team.You must be able to work under pressure and efficiently within time constraints.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).Transport experience (essential)Commutable to BristolAvailable to work Monday to FridayTraining on Carrier Compliance providedCommutable to BristolPrevious Role could include; De-breif clerk, Transport Administrator, Transport Planner, Transport Supervisor or Shift Manager, Assistant Transport Manager.What's on OfferThe successful Transport planner will receive;Salary £30,000 - £32,00025 Days Holiday + Bank HolidaysPensionContactLaura FrostQuote job refJN-122022-5872106Phone number+44 117 906 5521Job summaryJob functionLogisticsSubsectorTransport ManagementSectorTransport & DistributionLocationBristolContract typePermanentConsultant nameLaura FrostConsultant phone+44 117 906 5521Job referenceJN-122022-5872106
