A very well-recognised 3PL Logistics provider are actively seeking to recruit a Transport Shift Manager into their already impressive operation. Due to continued company growth this role will lead the Warehouse operation.
Job Description
Joining the team as a Transport shift Manager , you will be responsible for managing the Transport and Loading teams whilst motivating employees. Ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety within the Warehouse are maintained and product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet set KPI's.Shifts: 05:00am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday or 12:00pm - 08:00pm Main Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of Team Leaders and General Warehouse Operatives in their daily workload.
- Ensuring that orders are picked, marshalled, unloaded and loaded in line with Customer specifications.
- Carry out daily inspections of the work place.
- Complete and Carry out Personal Development Plans for all members of their team.
- Ensure that a high standard of Health & Safety is adhered within the working environment.
- Communicating regularly with Team Leaders/Senior Managers regarding any issues that may arise within the warehouse.
- Manage the team's performance in line with KPI's as required.
- Adhere to Hygiene policy ensuring that the companies waste management program is adhered too.
- Ensure that is adequate support for the picking, marshalling, cleaning, goods-in, pallet checking teams at all times.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Transport Shift Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
- Transport Shift Management experience
- A minimum of 3+ years Logistics management experience.
- Have managed in excess of 5+ staff previously.
- Experience within an 3PL or FMCG environment - Advantageous
- Have experience of LEAN methodologies.
- Have a proven track record of achieving in fast paced, high pressured operations.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be commercially minded and results driven.
- Be commutable to Swansea
