Job Description

You should be someone who feels at ease working proactively and independently on your tasks, and also possesses the confidence to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Regular communication with senior managers, directors, and partners of our organisation is also important to ensure effective support for businesses. You will also be encouraged to identify and highlight chances for improving our services and offering additional support to the organisations we engage with.

This position will predominantly involve providing advisory services to a diverse range of businesses, with VAT compliance also being a part of it. Your main responsibility will involve managing a portfolio of businesses, including participating in occasional special assignments. Throughout, you must uphold the Firm's quality and risk standards.

Furthermore, you will assist the Associate Director and Partner in managing the group, and at times, the wider VAT practice. A significant aspect of the role involves actively searching for and informing the Associate Director and Partner about potential new business opportunities with existing and new clients.

The Successful Applicant

  • A thorough and current understanding of VAT, along with the capacity to handle intricate matters
  • Capability to oversee a client portfolio with profitability, while proactively pursuing growth opportunities for both established and prospective clients
  • Proficiency in engaging with senior management of clients and HMRC
  • Educated to a degree level and/or possessing CTA and/or ACA qualifications or their equivalents
  • Able to evidence advisory experience gained after acquiring qualifications
