About Our Client

Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a long standing client of ours who have operationally continue to go from strength the strength across the UK.

They work alongside many well-known UK brands in supporting their Retail & E-Commerce offerings, now searching for a Warehouse Operations Support and Planning Manager to help take their flagship DC in Lutterworth to the next level.

This role is a newly created position for the site but one destined for success, if the right candidate can deliver for them.

The hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Support and Planning Manager position will:

  • Report into the Site Manager (or similar).
  • Take ownership of the sites labour and hours planning models, working collaboratively with site operations managers to provide a balance on service and cost.
  • Liaise with both the Retail & E-Commerce divisions in communicating planning of volumes in along with other relevant internal departments.
  • Reviewing annual peak periods to ensure the customer and their customers needs are met.
  • Manage site improvement plans to improve efficiency and maximise throughput.
  • Leading with the control room / tower team to plan workloads jointly with Retail and E-Commerce operations.
  • Working together with site agency teams, forward planning labour requirements and managing weekly meetings.
  • Daily operational meetings with site & internal customer leads.
  • Form part of the sites leadership team on major projects.
  • Commutable to Lutterworth on a daily basis.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Support and Planning Manager position will have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
  • Past experience of working for a 3PL provider - Advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2+ years working at a Senior Warehouse Shift Manager or Warehouse Operations Manager (or equivalent level) - Essential.
  • Somebody who is highly organised, results driven and commercially minded.
  • An individual that can operate at pace, within highly pressurised environments - Essential.
  • The ability to use WMS, Business systems & Microsoft packages (Excel) in locating and compiling reports on a daily and weekly basis for internal and external (customer) use.
