For those considering a potential move to Scotland, you can expect an excellent standard of living. Hours worked can be varied and depend on whether the role is transactional or advisory. Nevertheless the number of hours worked certainly meets many lawyers’ requirement for a work life balance, although ambitious lawyers will obviously put in the hours wherever they work

Whilst there are unlikely to be many vacancies in the Property, Corporate and Banking sectors; an increase in demand for contentious services is likely to lead to more roles in the Employment, Commercial Litigation and other contentious areas.
