Credit Analysis/Counterparty Credit
We deal with everything from Financial Institutions to Sovereigns and Corporates; from Credit Analysis to Counterparty Credit and Credit Research. With the growth in the Structured Finance businesses, the team is well positioned to work in the Project Finance, Property Finance, Leveraged Portfolio Management and Securitisation Credit areas.
Relationship Management/Corporate Banking
Corporate banking provides the foundations for the debt markets, there continues to be a shift in this space towards more sector-focused cross-product coverage rather than traditional large-cap corporate banking. As margins are being squeezed, deals are becoming increasingly structured. Our expertise covering both vanilla and more structured debt means that we are well placed to help you with this market shift.
Trade Finance/Structured Trade Finance
The team has a unique perspective on this niche market and a successful record of working with the major players from top tier Investment Banks to Commodity Traders.
Project Finance
This has always been a key market to Michael Page Financial Services as it possesses a proven capability to weather the downturns in the Debt market. There has been a pronounced switch away from the UK to the European market and therefore candidates combining good languages and strong technical skills are highly sought after.
Leveraged Finance
This is currently a booming market – the team have successfully filled roles at all levels from Analyst to Head of team, in all areas of the market. With 2 ex-Leveraged Finance bankers in the team, this team will continue to be one of our most active areas of focus.
Distressed Debt/Workouts
This is an area that we are expecting an imminent increase in activity as the result of the boom in the Leveraged business.
Securitisation
The team has worked with clients focussed on Orgination/Structuring and Securitisation Credit and Credit Research at all levels. The MBS and CDO markets have been particularly active in the last 18 months.
Property Finance/Structured Property Finance
The team have recently successfully completed a number of national campaigns for all levels for Banks, Funds and Specialist Property companies including advisory clients.
Tax Structured Finance/Asset Finance
This is a very specialised business and an area Michael Page Financial Services have had a presence in for a number of years. The team have worked with the top teams in the industry sourcing candidates from Legal and Accounting practice as well as more experienced market players.
