Michael Page Legal expands into Scotland
Media Release
For immediate release: 3 October 2006
Michael Page International, one of the world’s leading professional recruitment consultancies, is to extend its legal division to Scotland this month in response to an increased demand for professional recruitment solutions in this fast-moving sector. Michael Page Legal Scotland will open in the company’s well-established Edinburgh office.
The new legal division will be headed-up by Rick Mattison, who worked as a lawyer in the City of London for five years before joining Michael Page in 2004. He expects to quickly grow the specialist team of recruitment consultants, both in staff numbers and locations and already envisages opening a further branch in Glasgow once the first office becomes established.
The new division will encompass all aspects of the legal market, recruiting both permanent and temporary staff and placing candidates in varying public and private sector positions, from paralegals to partners and heads of legal.
Having operated in Scotland for over 25 years, Michael Page already has a strong infrastructure and support system throughout Scotland and the UK. The new division will use this strong base to offer clients and candidates a tailored and expert service for all of their recruitment needs.
Jamie Newman, Managing Director of Michael Page Scotland said, “The launch of the legal division is an excellent addition for Michael Page Scotland. The market is maturing dramatically and this is a great opportunity for the new team to make a real impact. Michael Page Scotland has enjoyed real growth and the legal division will be no different”.
