As part of a mid-sized team, the successful candidate will contribute to the organisation's financial management and operations.Job DescriptionAssist in the administration, maintenance, and control of the Authority's Financial Management System, including:General LedgerCreditors & DebtorsPurchase OrderingBank ReconciliationCapital & Project ModulesIncome ModulesSystem administration and control, including:Setting up, maintaining, and auditing user access across all modulesAdministering and maintaining workflows and system controlsCarrying out the annual audit of system usersProvide technical support and problem-solving:Respond to and resolve user queriesProvide advice and guidance on system useSupport system integrity and reconciliation:Reconcile FMS data with feeder systems (payroll, cash, creditors, debtors, etc.)Assist with year-end system verification and closure of accountsReporting and analysis:Develop and maintain monthly and ad hoc reports for budget managersSupport statutory and internal reporting requirementsTraining and documentation:Deliver formal and informal user trainingDevelop and maintain user guides and system documentationSupport external clients who utilise the Authority's Financial Management SystemAssist in system development and implementation projectsUndertake other duties as required by the line managerThe Successful ApplicantA successful Temp Accounts Technician should have:Knowledge or experience of Unit4 ERPExperience in ERP or Financial Management System administrationIT systems maintenance, access control, or governance experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial matters.What's on OfferAn hourly rate between £14.00 and £15.00Opportunity to work within the public sector and gain valuable experience.A temporary position within a supportive and professional environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Temp Accounts Technician to showcase their expertise in accounting and finance.
