Job Description

  • Manage the procurement of goods and services to support retail operations.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
  • Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise supply chain processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and delivery standards.
  • Analyse purchasing data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stock shortages.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer should have:

  • Previous experience in procurement or buying, ideally within the FMCG or retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in analysing data and using it to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence in communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
