About Our Client

A well established national business are currently recruiting for an immediately available Credit Control Clerk to join them ASAP.

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate records.
  • Monitor outstanding debts and take appropriate action to recover payments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare and issue invoices and statements in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage credit limits and payment terms.
  • Provide regular reports on debt status and collections progress to management.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with additional tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Control Clerk should have:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar role within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
