Job Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis
  • Support standard costing and actual costing processes across manufacturing operations
  • Analyse material, labour, and overhead variances and explain performance drivers
  • Maintain and update product costings, including BOMs, routings, and overhead absorption
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and re‑forecasting cycles
  • Partner with operations and production teams to improve cost control and efficiency
  • Provide financial insight on inventory, WIP, scrap, yield, and manufacturing performance
  • Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliations
  • Use SAP to extract, analyse, and validate financial and operational data
  • Assist with capital expenditure appraisals and post‑investment reviews
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to financial controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance and manufacturing

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Analyst Costing should have:

  • A strong background in accounting or finance within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
