Job Description

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Experience working within the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
