Job Description

Key responsibilities for the Marketing Category Manager:

  • To optimise and address 3rd party spend requirements within the marketing division
  • Identification of industry trends and development related to sourcing and category management
  • Planning and execution of sourcing events such as: RFP/RFX, negotiations to best meet the business requirements for value, speed, compliance, risk.
  • Identification and delivery of change opportunities to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and control of sourcing processes
  • Development, implementation and operation of policies and procedures to help sourcing activities aligned to current and desired standards and compliances

The Successful Applicant

A successful Marketing Category Manager should have:

  • Strong experience in procurement, particularly within the marketing category.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the processes within would be beneficial but not essential
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical skills able to mitigate risk while developing procedures and policies to aid support and government compliances.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A commercial mindset and a focus on delivering cost savings while ensuring good external relations for the business
  • Understanding how the cross functional teams collaborate where needed to ensure business standards and policies are met
