About Our Client

Our client is a fast growing automotive brand bringing innovative products and fresh customer experience to the UK market. As their parts business continues to grow, they are looking for a Parts Specialist to join the team.

Job Description

  • Monitor daily backorders, maintaining clear visibility of open lines and inbound order progress to support planning and dealer communication.
  • Liaise with headquarters and suppliers to resolve overdue, urgent, or high‑impact parts supply issues.
  • Prioritise critical backorders based on vehicle off‑road cases, customer impact, workshop demand, and business urgency.
  • Provide clear, regular updates on backorder status, expected delivery timings, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Investigate recurring backorder and supply issues, supporting actions to reduce ageing and improve performance.
  • Act as a key point of contact for dealer parts enquiries, responding in a timely, professional, and solution‑focused manner.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to resolve dealer issues and ensure queries follow correct systems and escalation routes.
  • Maintain accurate parts data and prepare regular reports on stock, orders, dealer issues, and operational performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Parts Specialist should have:

  • Experience in parts operations, inventory planning, supply chain, or aftersales support, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Strong understanding of parts replenishment, stock control, and order fulfilment processes.
  • Proven experience with backorder management, supply issue coordination, or dealer support.
  • Effective communicator with strong coordination skills across dealers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented, and confident working with operational and performance data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools, with SAP or ERP system experience preferred, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
