Job Description

The successful Senior Financial Accountant will:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts to aid strategic planning.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain key financial trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist in their development.
  • Assist in audits by liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or a similar financial sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
