Job Description

  • Provide administrative support for hearings and committee meetings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and prepared in advance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders during hearings and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and regulations throughout all hearings.
  • Draft and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and related correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to hearings and committees.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Support other administrative tasks as required by the department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Hearings Officer - Committee Secretary should have:

  • Significant administrative experience, ideally in a regulatory body or similar, working at a senior administrator level or as Committee/Panel Secretary.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that facilitate effective working relationships with a diverse set of colleagues and liaison with external bodies: able to be assertive but tactful.
  • Ability to provide professional presence in a formal and public tribunal setting
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Confidence in handling sensitive and confidential information.
