This organisation is a leading UK healthcare provider based in Liverpool. who are going through an exciting period of growth who are looking to hire a Strategic Procurement Manager offering hybrid working.

Job Description

The main responsibility for the Strategic Procurement Manager:

  • Develop and execute sourcing across all indirect categories.
  • Drive cost analysis and deliver cost‑reduction initiatives across indirect categories.
  • Conduct scenario‑based analysis, benchmarking, and market research.
  • Support the development and management of budgets.
  • Deliver GNFR procurement savings targets.
  • Manage supplier contracts, KPIs and SLAs to ensure compliance.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business to ensure policy compliance.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant standards (ISO, ESOS, CSR, GDP etc.).
  • Collaborate across the wider Group to enhance profitability and share market insights.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Procurement Manager should have:

  • At least 4 years' experience working within indirect procurement, with a strong track record of delivering annual savings targets.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement principles, cost management, risk management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience working in a small team to drive value and improve GNFR performance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Highly adaptable, calm under pressure, and capable of anticipating change and generating innovative solutions.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to apply structured strategies to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • CIPS qualified (or working towards)
