In recent years, the airport has undergone major redevelopment to improve passenger experience, expand capacity, and modernise its facilities. With a growing emphasis on sustainability and innovation, Luton Airport continues to play an important role in connecting people, businesses, and communities across the UK and beyond, and behind the scenes there are teams working hard to ensure guests have a great experience. 

  • Airside Operations: the primary objective of this professional and highly knowledgeable department is to establish and maintain a safe and efficient airside environment. In doing so this team undertakes a broad range of exciting activities involving the aircrafts, the airfield and the cargo function.
  • Guest Experience: the guest experience team take accountability for the end to end guest experience. They ensure guests have a pleasant and safe journey through the terminal by showing they care and sharing what they know.
  • Finance: the finance team is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the airports operation. Responsibilities include understanding and reporting financial performance, budgeting, procurement, paying suppliers and invoicing.
  • Procurement: the primary role of procurement is to obtain Best Value for Money, buying quality goods and services at the best possible prices. They are an ambitious team who always strive to promote sustainability, inclusivity and ethical practices.
  • Technology: the tech team provides support helpdesk services to all employees, as well as managing cyber security and all of the telecoms/equipment at Luton Airport.
  • Flight Operations: the Flight Operations Department is responsible for monitoring and managing the airports airspace and ensuring that we maintain an efficient route structure that minimises emissions as well as the impact of aircraft noise on our local community. This is essential to ensure growth in a sustainable manner.
  • Commercial: at Luton Airport we have an incredibly ambitious commercial team. The team achieves its objectives through a developed commercial strategy, working with concessionaires and stakeholders to plan, budget, design, innovate and manage key business partners in the delivery of commercial products that meet our guests needs.
