We are known for our friendly and welcoming approach in all that we do, a professional and warm office culture shows this. We currently operate a blended working approach. For the Marketing team this means 60% of time is spent on campus (3 days per week) and 40% of time (2 days) working from home.

Meet the team

Ruth Connor
Deputy Chief Executive

Ruth has responsibility for External Relations, Estates and Capital Projects, Academic Registry, Health, Safety and Environment, Sport and Learning and Information Services. This is a key role in the University’s senior executive team, supporting the Vice-Chancellor in the leadership, management, and effective operation of the University.

Heather Ellis
Director of Marketing and Development

Heather leads the Marketing and Development team at UCLan. She is responsible for advancing the University brand and profile as leading, modern, and life-changing educational institution on a regional, national, and international level. In addition, she is responsible for embedding a culture of fundraising to realise the University’s philanthropic ambitions.
