Job Description

  • Lead the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time, and workflows support effective cash‑flow management.
  • Manage and support a team responsible for invoice processing, including performance reviews, regular 121 meetings, training, target setting, and day to day workload coordination.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners to improve collaboration, streamline processes, and contribute to policy and service enhancement.
  • Serve as a primary contact point for auditors and oversight groups, providing clear information and assurance on accounts payable activity.
  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to support management decision making.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and up to date documentation outlining all relevant processes and team procedures.
  • Work closely with payment and procurement functions to ensure supplier details are accurate, compliant, and routinely reconciled.
  • Take on additional responsibilities when required, supporting broader team and organisational needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by contributing ideas, solving operational challenges creatively, and supporting collaborative working across teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
