You'll be a key team member within a small finance team of five, meaning you'll build real, tangible experience in a fast-paced, mentally rewarding role.Job DescriptionManage the end‑to‑end bank reconciliation processSupport the preparation of quarterly management accountsPerform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracyPrepare and post quarterly prepayments and accrualsCalculate and post loan interest entriesMaintain and update quarterly accounts and shareholder packs based on current trial balancesAct as the primary point of contact for auditors in relation to assigned areasProvide ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support the wider finance teamOversee daily treasury activitiesReview and approve workflows in line with control requirementsPrepare and submit quarterly VAT returnsDeliver financial analysis and written commentary on quarterly management accountsAssist with the preparation of statutory accountsOpportunity for ongoing professional development and increased responsibility over timeThe Successful ApplicantA successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting.Some experience preparing accounts within a small practice environment is desirable.Some tax experience - especially VAT including partial exemption.Experience with accounting software and financial systems.Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in financial tasks.Analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.Studying towards a relevant accounting qualification.What's on OfferCompetitive salary range between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Supportive and collaborative company culture.Comprehensive, strong benefits package.This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to make an impact in the property industry.
