Job Description

The duties of the Cash Operations Executive include:

  • Managing daily cash postings and allocations from bank statements into internal lending systems
  • Investigating and resolving unallocated cash, reconciliation breaks, and discrepancies
  • Overseeing the full direct debit lifecycle, including file preparation, submission, and exception handling
  • Processing participation payments and ensuring accurate allocation across multiple entities
  • Preparing and executing payment runs with appropriate controls and approvals
  • Supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and audit requirements
  • Maintaining robust documentation and contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives

The Successful Applicant

The successful Cash Operations Executive applicant ticks the below boxes:

  • Experience in cash operations, loan administration, or a lending/asset finance environment
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and high-volume transaction processing
  • Familiarity with direct debit processes and lending documentation
  • Studying towards (or interested in) an accounting qualification such as AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and complex formulas (macros beneficial)
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to take ownership of issues through to resolution
  • Proactive mindset with an interest in improving processes and leveraging technology
