Established through statute, it plays a critical role in supporting the resilience of the UK housing and insurance market, working closely with public bodies, regulators and industry stakeholders.The organisation is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to inclusion, and long-term mission focus rather than short-term commercial pressure.Job DescriptionThis is a new role to bring corporate strategy capability to support the Board.The Corporate Strategy Lead supports the organisation's purpose by identifying emerging risks, opportunities and structural shifts across public policy, regulation and financial markets. The role works closely with the Director of Policy and Government Affairs and provides direct strategic support to the CEO and Executive Committee.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the design, evolution and execution of corporate strategy in a changing and uncertain external environmentActing as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO on priority initiatives, stakeholder engagements and key communicationsConnecting insights across policy, regulatory, financial and operational domains to inform Executive and Board decision-makingSupporting the annual business planning process to ensure strategic priorities are underpinned by robust financial insightTranslating complex strategic and technical material into clear narratives for diverse audiences, including government, regulators, industry partners and internal teamsProactively identifying and escalating emerging risks and opportunitiesRole-modelling inclusive, collaborative and security-aware behaviours across the organisationThis is a role for someone who enjoys ambiguity, values thoughtful analysis, and is comfortable influencing without dominance.The Successful ApplicantYou are likely to bring:A track record in a recognised Strategy Consultancy -MBB, Big 4 or boutique strategy house - developing and implementing strategic frameworks and Board level analysis / reportsideally with exposure to financial services, insurance or regulated environmentsA strong analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity and attention to detailExperience synthesising complex information and explaining it clearly to senior audiencesConfidence working with senior stakeholders, Boards and Executive Committees in a constructive, respectful mannerStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholder groupsExperience applying strategic frameworks pragmatically rather than dogmaticallyA good understanding of the UK political and policy landscape, or the ability to learn this quicklyA collaborative, collegiate working style with high self-awarenessComfort prioritising work, managing deadlines and navigating uncertainty without unnecessary urgencyImportantly, you do not need to meet every criterion to apply.
