Their products support sectors from food and industrial manufacturing to retail and logistics, helping customers enhance protection, efficiency, and brand impact.Job DescriptionAs the Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be tasked with the following;The Maintenance Team support and maintain a range of blown film extruders of various sizes, converting machines, recycling machines, and a range of ancillary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, resin silos with blowers & connections to the extruders, inline printers, and inline embossing units.The Maintenance Team also covers the building and services, and we also have a number of contractors and service partners who support the maintenance activities.Electrical MaintenancePerform planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.Work with motors, drives, control panels, sensors, PLC systems, and associated electrical components.Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.Carry out installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and upgrades.Fault Finding & TroubleshootingIdentify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults and recommending solutions.Use testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools.Health & Safety ComplianceEnsure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.Follow lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety standards.Maintain a safe working environment at all times.Preventative Maintenance & ReliabilitySupport and execute preventative maintenance schedules.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Assist in improving equipment reliability and performance.CollaborationWork closely with mechanical engineer, production teams, and other departments.Support production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.Participate in maintenance planning and continuous improvement initiatives.The Successful ApplicantA successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer should have:Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering)Strong electrical fault-finding skillsKnowledge of PLC systems and industrial electrical systemsAbility to read electrical schematics and drawingsExperience working in manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environmentStrong problem-solving skillsDesirable18th Edition Wiring RegulationsPLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)Experience with automation systemsExperience with CMMS systemsMulti-skilled (basic mechanical knowledge)What's on OfferCompetitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.Generous holiday allowance of 25 days, plus bank holidays.Access to a pension scheme to support your future financial goals.Opportunity to participate in a company bonus scheme.A permanent position in a respected organisation in Liverpool.If you are a dedicated Maintenance Engineer looking to advance your career in the industrial and manufacturing sector, we encourage you to apply today!ContactJordi WilliamsQuote job refJN-032026-6960173Phone number+441133889028Job summaryJob functionEngineering & ManufacturingSubsectorMaintenance, ReliabilitySectorIndustrial / ManufacturingLocationLiverpoolContract typePermanentConsultant nameJordi WilliamsConsultant phone+441133889028Job referenceJN-032026-6960173
