Electrical Maintenance Operative

Key Accountabilities:

• 
  
  Conduct routine inspections of commercial electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, distribution boards, and components.
• 
  
  Perform electrical testing such as continuity, voltage, insulation resistance, and fault‑finding tests to ensure systems operate within safe parameters.
• 
  
  Test electrical systems and circuits to verify compatibility, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.
  Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues identified during inspections or reported by building users.
• 
  
  Repair or replace defective electrical components, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and other commercial building infrastructure.
• 
  
  Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents to support testing and maintenance work.
• 
  
  Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical systems.
