A permanent, site-based Electrician role delivering high-quality installation, inspection, testing and fault-finding across a large Northeast portfolio. You'll work to BS7671 (18th Edition) standards, completing repairs and planned works while maintaining excellent SHEQ compliance and customer-focused service.

Job Description

    • Install, inspect, test and maintain electrical systems to a high standard
    • Complete fault-finding, repairs and replacement of damaged components
    • Deliver project-defined electrical works as directed by site management
    • Ensure compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition) and relevant legislation
    • Produce accurate, timely site documentation (job sheets, test results, etc.)
    • Coordinate materials and ensure correct specs, workmanship and quality standards
    • Follow all SHEQ requirements, attend toolbox talks and required training
    • Maintain and care for company tools, keep areas safe/clean/tidy daily
    • Wear appropriate PPE and work safely at all times
    • Support wider site needs as reasonably requested by management



The Successful Applicant

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Inspection & Testing qualification - City & Guilds 2391 or EAL equivalent
  • JIB Gold Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven experience in electrical repairs/maintenance contracts (reactive + planned)
  • Comfortable working in housing / care related settings (highly beneficial)
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety and electrical safety protocols
  • Able to interpret diagrams, follow procedures, and deliver quality workmanship
  • Physically capable role: lifting, bending, kneeling, use of tools/machinery; work at height
  • Professional, polite, reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused
