Job Description

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.
  • Ensure all employee cases are managed in line with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Support managers in conducting investigations and preparing necessary documentation for employee cases.
  • Collaborate with the wider Human Resources team to ensure consistency in ER practices and procedures.
  • Deliver training and coaching to managers on employee relations topics.
  • Maintain accurate records of all ER cases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Identify trends in employee relations issues and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives that align with the organisation's goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful ER Advisor should have:

  • Previous experience in managing employee relations cases within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employees and managers.
  • A proven ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A CIPD qualification or similar HR certification would be advantageous.
