We are seeking a reliable and professional Exam Invigilator to support the smooth, secure, and compliant delivery of in-person examinations. This is a casual/temporary role with variable hours during exam seasons (typically mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings or Saturdays).

Job Description

Job duties:

  • Set up examination rooms according to university guidelines
  • Check candidate identification and manage admissions to the venue
  • Deliver clear exam instructions and uphold exam regulations
  • Distribute, collect, and account for exam materials securely
  • Monitor the exam environment and report suspected malpractice
  • Provide reasonable adjustments support as instructed (e.g., readers/scribes)
  • Manage timing, announcements, and unforeseen disruptions professionally
  • Complete required paperwork, incident logs, and handovers
  • Support room resets and prepare for subsequent sittings

The Successful Applicant

A successful Exam Invigilator should have:Essential

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Calm, professional, and discreet; able to handle sensitive information
  • Clear and confident verbal communication
  • Punctual and reliable; able to follow procedures precisely
  • Able to stand, walk, and carry light materials for periods as required



Desirable

  • Prior experience in exams, education, events, or customer service
  • Familiarity with JCQ/OfS/University assessment regulations
  • Experience supporting candidates with reasonable adjustments
  • Availability across multiple days and time slots in peak periods
