Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce regular financial and commercial performance reports.
  • Analyse sales, margins, profitability and operational KPIs across multiple sales channels.
  • Support monthly management reporting with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
  • Identify risks and opportunities through detailed financial modelling.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards.
  • Identifying trends in the data - issues with rents etc.
  • Analyse customer, product and sales data to identify trends and commercial opportunities.
  • Work with large datasets to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyse inventory performance, stock ageing and product profitability.
  • Support purchasing and merchandising teams with stock planning and demand forecasting.
  • Monitor pricing performance and promotional effectiveness.
  • Identify slow-moving stock and recommend actions to optimise inventory investment.
  • Collaborate with departments across the business to understand reporting requirements.
  • Present clear financial and operational insights to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support commercial decision-making with robust data analysis.
  • Improve data quality and reporting consistency across systems.
  • Support the development of finance and reporting systems.
  • Help implement automation and process improvements using modern reporting tools.



The Successful Applicant

About You:

  • Either qualified or close to qualifying accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using AI software is essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query and complex formulas.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation software.
  • Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple and engaging way.
