Job Description

  • Develop relationships with budget holders and senior leaders, ensuring their financial needs are understood and supported.
  • Act as the main finance contact for your portfolio, owning service level expectations and ensuring a high quality business partnering service.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on the financial position of departments, providing clear insight to stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate forecasts and highlight opportunities, risks, and efficiency improvements.
  • Review payroll spending, ensuring alignment to establishment figures and investigating any variances.
  • Work closely with budget holders to develop realistic and achievable annual budgets.
  • Review expenditure across supplies, services, and operational areas, recommending efficiency opportunities.
  • Build strong links with internal support teams (HR, Finance Operations, Admin, IT, Estates, etc.) to support delivery of accurate financial management.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • Part Qualified / Qualified CCAB/ ACA/ CIMA/ACCA/ CIPFA .
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management abilities.
  • First time move from practice would be highly desirable
