About Our Client



We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our growing travel business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Accounts Payable background who is looking to broaden their experience across a wider finance function.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent financial controls. Experience in additional finance areas such as Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, journals, and month-end activities would be highly beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Job Description



Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing Accounts Payable activities, including supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs.
  • Assisting with Accounts Receivable processes, including raising invoices and allocating receipts.
  • Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supporting month-end procedures, including account reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assisting with payroll processing and payroll-related postings.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice, supplier, and customer queries.
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
  • Building positive working relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and business stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant



About YouWe are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Has exposure to other finance functions such as Accounts Receivable, payroll, journal posting, or reconciliations.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Has good Excel and general systems skills.
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Is keen to learn and develop within a varied finance role.
  • Experiance using SAGE or SAP



Desirable ExperienceWhile not essential, experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Month-end close activities.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Payroll processing.
  • Financial reporting support.
  • Working within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or leisure sectors.
  • Experience with finance systems such as Xero, Sage, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar.
