Job Description

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed timely.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing insightful financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and implement recommendations where needed.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, providing clear financial insight and constructive support to help shape commercial decisions and improve overall performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial support to other departments to aid strategic decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Keen interest in how new technologies and data-led tools can enhance reporting, insight, and business decision-making.
  • A proactive and curious approach, with the ability to think critically, solve problems effectively, and adapt to new challenges.
  • Able to balance a strong attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective, remaining focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
