Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering an e-vehicle start up based in West London.

The brand, founded overseas, has recently launched in the UK and is embarking on a huge growth phase is expanding in the UK and are experience rapid growth. Their go-to market strategy is to launch new, state of the art electronic vehicles at very competitive price points to become one of the leading e-vehicle brands in the UK. Launching in 2025, the brand already has established itself with near on 100 dealerships and will be bringing new vehicles to market throughout 2026.

As part of the growth they are looking to appoint a capable Financial Controller.

Job Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
Establishing accounting systems, carry out daily accounting and financial management work.
Lead all tax related matters and carry out tax declaration.
Establish the resources of local financial institutions, negotiate auto financial products and determine the conditions of access, interest rate and approval procedures. Establish a resource bank of financial institutions.
Key business partner to provide advisory services to non-finance stakeholders
Design and deliver financial analysis and provide insight to drive decision making
Responsible for the preparation and revision of the Company's annual operating budget, track the budget implementation situation monthly and analyse the differences.
Lead on exchange rate risk control, formulate corresponding exchange lock scheme and product pricing strategy for exchange rate fluctuations.
Other ad-hoc financial work.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Proven expertise in financial management within the Retail industry. Automotive sector would be advantageous
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Including UK Tax.
Strong FX experience
Proficiency in financial systems and tools to streamline operations.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
The ability to lead a team effectively and communicate financial insights clearly.

What's on Offer

The Financial Controller position comes with a competitive salary of £90,000-100,000 plus package.

This is an office based role in brand new, modern offices based in the heart of West London
