Job Description

Michael Page are proud to be partnering with Celtic Leisure as the Retained agent to recruit their next Head of Finance

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully Qualified Accountant to lead the Finance Division of the organisation whilst sitting on the Senior Leadership Team.This role requires the Head of Finance to be both Strategic as well as being Hands on with accounts preparation.Reporting to the Chief Executive the Head of Finance will be responsible for;

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organisational objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
  • Reduce Month End reporting
  • Develop reporting and dashboards through use of PowerBI
  • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor and improve internal financial controls and risk management processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, the Board and monthly for submission to Neath Port Talbot Council.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of public sector financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
