This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening financial controls and supporting strategic decision-making.You will oversee day-to-day financial operations while working closely with senior leadership to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance across the finance function.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Head of Financial Operations role will include:Develop and deliver the Financial Operations strategy, driving best-in-class service, strong controls, and continuous improvementProvide strategic leadership to modernise operations across governance, cash management, automation, and transformationLead end-to-end Financial Operations, including Receivables, Credit & Risk, Commercial Finance, and Accounts PayableDesign and implement efficient, standardised processes to optimise cash collection, payments, and financial controlStrengthen governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and effective risk managementAct as a senior SME, influencing Group Finance strategy across performance, risk, and cash flowBuild and lead a high-performing team, developing capability and fostering a culture of accountability and excellenceDrive performance through clear KPIs, SLAs, and proactive stakeholder engagementPartner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to deliver a customer-focused, high-quality serviceLead transformation initiatives, including process simplification, automation, and systems optimisation.Champion innovation and continuous improvement, embedding sustainable and scalable ways of workingThe Successful ApplicantA successful Head of Financial Operations will have:Extensive senior leadership experience across Order-to-Cash, Accounts Payable, Credit, Risk, Governance, and wider Financial OperationsProven track record of leading transformation within large, complex teams and fostering high-performance culturesStrong knowledge of financial controls, governance frameworks, risk management, and audit complianceDemonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams with full accountability for end-to-end processesDeep understanding of shared services environments, including modernisation and continuous improvement initiativesHighly effective commercial and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholdersExperience with SAP is highly desirable, alongside exposure to large-scale system transformation programmesExcellent communication, leadership presence, and problem-solving capabilitiesWhat's on OfferA salary up to £80,000 per annum based on experience + bonusHybrid working - 2 days in office, 3 days working from home.
