As an HR Advisor - Compliance Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring HR processes and practices remain compliant with employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and organisational standards while providing specialist expertise across key compliance areas. You will also lead and develop a small team of HR Advisors, supporting operational excellence, risk management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement within a busy HR function.
  • This role includes flexible hybrid working.
  • This is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity.

Job Description

  • Lead and support a team of Junior HR Advisors, providing coaching, guidance and development.
  • Act as a specialist advisor on HR compliance matters.
  • Manage compliance processes relating to:
    • Right to Work legislation
    • Sponsorship and immigration requirements
    • Criminal record checks (DBS/PVG)
    • Professional memberships
  • HR transactional processes and governance activities
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks across HR operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting mechanisms and audit trails.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide expert guidance and practical solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, efficiency and service delivery

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Advisor - Compliance Lead should have:

  • Experience in compliance within the healthcare industry or a similar regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence in advising and supporting managers on compliance matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver training and updates clearly.
