This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys providing practical, commercially focused employee relations advice while making a positive impact within the education sector.Job DescriptionProvide professional advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures.Support managers with employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters.Assist with recruitment processes, ensuring adherence to organisational standards.Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.Advise on employment law and best practices to support decision-making.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth HR operations.Provide support for training and development programmes as required.Conduct and disciplinary mattersCapability and performance managementAttendance management and sickness absenceGrievances and workplace disputesFlexible working requestsReasonable adjustments and employee wellbeing mattersGeneral policy and procedural adviceThe Successful ApplicantA successful HR Advisor should have:Previous HR Advisor experience within a public sector environmentSchools or education sector experience would be highly advantageousExperience providing advice through HR helpline, advisory or casework-based servicesStrong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS best practiceExperience supporting a full range of employee relations casesThe ability to gather facts objectively, ask insightful questions and make balanced recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive approach, with the confidence to suggest improvements and develop practical guidance for managersA customer-focused mindset and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levelsWhat's on OfferHybrid working arrangementsFree Parking on site.Annual Salary of £45000 to £50000 per annum.Generous annual leave entitlementLocal Government Pension SchemeOngoing professional development opportunitiesA collaborative and supportive HR teamOpportunity to make a meaningful impact within educationIf you are an experienced Advisor looking for a varied advisory role within a values-driven organisation in Nottingham, we would love to hear from you.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
