As a medium-sized organisation, they offer a structured and professional environment for their employees.Job DescriptionSupport the delivery of category objectives aligned to the wider procurement strategyContribute to category and product group strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce risk, and create competitive advantageAnalyse product ranges and routes to market to maximise value for customers and the organisationProduce accurate reports by gathering and analysing data from multiple sourcesMonitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to support decision-makingSupport new product launches through insights into industry and consumer trendsCollate and analyse key data including cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier optionsBuild and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDeliver high-quality customer service, resolving complex queries and identifying opportunities to add valueThe Successful ApplicantA successful Category Manager should have:Proven experience running end to end procurement within public sector.Knowledge of PA23 and proven experience using the new regulations.A strong understanding of category management principles and practices.Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.Ideally experience with Hard FM, ICT and other indirects.Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.What's on OfferThis Interim Category Manager role is 6 months, offering a brilliant opportunity to support in the shaping of the evolving team.
