Job Description

  • Manage the administration of legacies in line with legal requirements and organisational policies.
  • Review and process legal documents related to legacies, including wills and probate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all legacy cases and update relevant databases.
  • Provide clear and timely communication with executors, solicitors, and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal procedures.
  • Prepare reports on legacy income and case progress for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with resolving any disputes or issues related to legacy cases.
  • Support the team with additional administrative tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legacy Officer should have:

  • Knowledge of legacy administration and relevant legal processes.
  • Previous working knowledge of working within a charity in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
