Job Description

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Source new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing ones to secure the best terms and quality.
  • Collaborate with the retail and merchandising teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management for the retail department.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing performance to senior stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer should have:

  • Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within the retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to assess market trends and make informed decisions.
