Job Description

  • Cost Accounting & Analysis: Lead the analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and factory overheads, to provide accurate Product Costing and Variance Analysis.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the valuation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods, ensuring financial controls align with physical production cycles.
  • Operational Performance: Collaborate with production managers to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as machine downtime, yield rates, and waste reduction.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed departmental budgets and rolling forecasts that reflect production capacity and capital expenditure (CapEx) requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting within the production line to enhance overall gross margin and operational transparency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis, preferably within the Manufacturing Sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
