Job Description

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
  • Monitor and inspect equipment for wear and tear, identifying potential issues early.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Technician should have:

  • A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining workplace safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
