They maintain a strong emphasis on operational control, regulatory adherence, and collaborative teamwork across departments to ensure high standards of client service and risk management.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Middle Office Assistant include:Opening and maintaining customer accounts, processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers accurately.Supporting internet banking set-up and resolving account-related queries in a timely manner.Ensuring full compliance with KYC and AML requirements, including monitoring and escalating suspicious activity.Maintaining accurate customer records while safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring confidentiality.Collaborating with the Sales team to support account-related targets and service delivery.Liaising with Treasury to process documentation for non-routine transactions.Coordinating with Admin/HR regarding vendor set-up and standing order maintenance.Contributing to system improvements, automation initiatives, and data integrity checks.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Middle Office Assistant candidate will have 1-3 years' experience in banking, customer service, or account management. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of banking operations and financial regulations, including familiarity with SWIFT payment instruction series.They will be detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
