Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsHelp drive national policy change, including in the devolved nationsDevelop public affairs experience across Westminster and the devolved nationsAbout Our ClientBrain Tumour Research is the UK's leading brain tumour charity, campaigning to increase research investment and funding Centres of Excellence to find a cure for all brain tumours.Job DescriptionPolicy and Public Affairs OfficerHybridResponsibilities:Support the development and delivery of public affairs, policy and campaigning plans that advance Brain Tumour Research's organisational objectives across Westminster and the devolved nations.Help ensure the specific needs and experiences of people affected by brain tumours are reflected in a compelling, evidence-based narrative that strengthens the charity's policy positions and campaigning asks.Support effective parliamentary and governmental engagement, including the operation and impact of the charity's APPG and devolved Cross-Party Groups, to build political support and influence relevant policy and funding decisions.Provide timely, accurate policy research, analysis and horizon scanning so the charity understands and responds effectively to developments in health, research, cancer policy and the wider political environment.Strengthen relationships with government officials, parliamentarians, campaigners, member charities, researchers, public affairs advisers and other stakeholders to support coordinated advocacy and collective impact.Ensure internal teams, supporters and external audiences receive accessible, authoritative and up-to-date information about the charity's public affairs and campaigning activity.
