Job Description

What the successful Procurement Consultant can expect to do:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement best practices and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement goals with business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Consultant should have:

  • A strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
  • An understanding of both PA23 and PCR2015
  • 3 years of Public Sector exposure and comfortable working for a consultancy
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and market research skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement tools and software.
