Job Description

  • Process invoices and ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update purchase ledger records with precision.
  • Assist in month-end financial processes and reporting.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries effectively and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and procedures.
  • Support the accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data responsibly.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Proven experience in purchase ledger or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and suppliers.
