Job Description

As the Quality Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Maintain and improve quality assurance systems and processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, supporting customer, production and supplier quality performance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement process improvements, utilising continuous improvement methodologies such as; SMED, LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
  • Analyse data and prepare reports/documentation on quality performance and trends, in order to perform root cause analysis (8D, 5why).
  • Liaise with external customers to reduce NCR's and develop internal quality processes.
  • Support the Quality Manager with both internal and external audits.
  • Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to address quality-related concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all quality processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Quality Engineer should have:

  • Experience of working within industries such as; aerospace, automotive, precision components, machining.
  • Experience of managing QMS in accordance to ISO 9001 & 14001.
  • Internal/External auditor certification is desirable
  • Qualification within engineering.
