Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of R&D tax claims.
  • Provide expert advice on R&D tax relief and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures.
  • Review technical documentation to ensure alignment with HMRC guidelines.
  • Lead discussions with HMRC and other external bodies as required.
  • Support the development of junior team members through mentoring and training.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation impacting R&D claims.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful R&D Senior Tax Manager should have:

  • Strong knowledge of R&D tax relief regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in managing and advising on R&D tax claims.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
  • Experience in client-facing roles within the professional services industry.
  • A professional qualification in accountancy or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
